Zusammenfassung

A denarius of Fulvia Plautilla custodied at the Municipal Archaeological Museum of Lorca, dedicated to Venus Victrix corresponds to a late issue of Caracalla´s wife. In order to understand the social and political background, in addition to an individual study of the piece, we will try also examine the importance of this deity in the Roman world and, in particular, in female issues, establishing a comparison with Julia Domna. This will help us to understand the context in which this minted was made and the political message that it was intended to transmitted.
