Abstract

Since the tulip crisis in the Netherlands in the 17th century, untilrecently with something as intangible as the Bitcoins, we have experienced differentspeculative crises and economic bubbles that have highlighted the differencebetween the real value and the price of certain objects. In the case of tangiblecollector’s items such as Magic cards, with the arrival of e-commerce and platformssuch as TCPlayer in the United States or Cardmarket in Europe, they initiallysought to correct these price increases by increasing the offer that each specializedstore or individual user could contribute. As we will see, the increase in supply alsocaused an increase in demand, and the ease provided by these platforms to buylarge amounts of copies of the same letter without border limits has caused, in the last ten years, the opposite effect.
