Resumen
Shortly after the town of Alcalá de Benzaide was conquered, Alfonso XI exempted its inhabitants from all kinds of taxes for the goods they contributed to the place, in order to favor their survival. For more than a century and a half, the Nazaríes incursions into this town, located less than 100 kilometers away from the capital of Granada, amply justified the enjoyment of such privileges. However, at the end of the war in Granada its continuity was questioned, as seen in the attempt to charge the town with the service of Cortes of 1518. The former town, now a city, successfully argued against this claim, obtaining enforcement in its favor in 1532. The document was long, but necessary for enable the inhabitants and their dependents of the Castle of Locubín to assert for the Kingdom this exemption. This is why in 1564 the text of this executory-privilege was printed as a brochure, at the expense of the public notaries of the city. In our days, four copies of this document are available
