Abstract

The Histogenic distraction allows the regeneration of the tissues by means of the gradual and controlled displacement of a bone fragment. The biological principies and of basic sciences aspects that intervene in the process, as well as the different conditioning factors that influence in the result of the procedure are reviewed.
