Zusammenfassung

Average inbreeding coefficient from a sample of the Spanish Holstein population is computed using an iterative method. Although the positive result represented by the average inbreeding value obtained in close to zero, more detailed analysis of the data shows that the results must be confirmed with more pedigree information.
