Resumo

The right to health has been recognized as one of the fundamental rights by the WHO, which entails a legal obligation to ensure access to timely, acceptable, and affordable health care. The implementation of inadequate or deficient health policies, however, has led to inefficient health care systems and to access restrictions to their services for specific groups such as immigrants. Even though some governments have been adopting new measures to reduce these health inequities, the COVID-19 pan-demic has haltered this process, especially with the isolation of the health services and the need to reorganize all the available resources. In the context of such global pandemic, new contributions to the field of the Graphic Medicine both in the Uni-ted States and Spain have moved beyond the physical and digital borders to raise awareness about these inequities so as to keep the process of shaping a more human, accessible and available health care for everyone.
