Abstract

This research proposes a dynamic model for the transport of goods by road. To measure the activity of the sector,the number of displaced tons-kilometers is considered. Among the explanatory variables, along with the price offuel, GDP and export volume are included. Using quarterly data in period I / 1994-IV / 2016, elasticities are obtainedwith respect to each variable. The results obtained may be relevant for the design of policies.
