Abstract

The objective of this research is the evaluation and analysis of the impact of policies to reduce road accidents. Themodels are estimated for the number of fatalities in traffic accidents. The results obtained corroborate the positiveeffect of many of the measures adopted and suggest the adoption of other measures that encourage the use ofalternative modes of transport to the road.
