Abstract

Thermo (20—350 K) and X-ray induced luminiscence of dolomite from Eugui (Navarra) are investigated in this study. Thermoluminescence spectra after X-ray irradiation show peaks at 26, 48, 63, 158, 168 and 300 K Emission spectrum of TL peaks are composed of bands at 250, 280, 310. 380 and 430 nm. RL spectrum are similar to that observed for TL emission spectrum. It is suggested that luminescence of dolomite could be interpreted in similar way to that of calcite.
