Abstract
Are we facing a new PRI electoral citizenship? And if so, what is the current archetype of the PRI voter? In the present work, the author responds to both questions using as a case study two transcendent moments in the life of the PRI; his first presidential defeat in the 2000 elections, as well as his triumphant return in 2012. His analysis consists of a comparative model that demonstrates a mutation in the characteristics of the PRI electorate and invites reflection on the possibility of a revolutionized and modern Institutional Revolutionary Party.
