Godard’s cinema offers a fertile field for the study of differential and heterogeneous relations between writing and image. His passion for overwriting and assembly of written texts with images-movement realizes not only the dimension of audiovisual stratigraphic but also exerts counterpoints and discontinuities within the narrative. The purpose of this article focuses on the study of the relationship between writing and image (cutting relationships, insert and overlay) in order to observe and verify the use of intertitles, captions and overlays in the cinema iconoclastic French filmmaker.
