Resumo

In compliance with international and national guidelines and commitments regardinginequality between women and men, Spain’s Law 3/2007 of March 22 was a milestonein terms of legislation. One of its instruments is the equality plans of companies. Inthis sense, the question arises as to how the good practices described in these planscontribute to the goals of the fifth SDG. Methods: A qualitative methodology was usedto analyze the discourse through documentary sources. Results: The good practicesresulting from the equality plans analyzed are fundamentally aligned with goals 5.1, 5.2,5.4, 5.5 and eminently with 5.c. Discussion: The implementation of an equality plan in thecompany implies in itself the approval and strengthening of equality policies, even at aformal level, especially when it has originated in a process involving the entire workforce. However, it should be remembered that it is a legal mandate, along with other obligationsrelated to the prevention of occupational risks, the remuneration register, among others. Conclusions: Equality plans and badges offer the opportunity to promote the principle ofequality and represent an added value to their social responsibility.
