Estructura Factorial, Fiabilidad e Invarianza de la Escala de Identidad Étnica Multigrupo (EIEM) en personas mayores Aymaras y Mapuches

Resumen

La Escala de Identidad Étnica Multigrupo (EIEM) ha sido ampliamente utilizada en jóvenes y adultos para valorar la identidad étnica en distintos grupos que constituyen minorías. El objetivo de esta investigación fue analizar la validez, la estructura factorial y la equivalencia métrica de EIEM en una muestra de personas mayores chilenas pertenecientes a los pueblos indígenas Aymara y Mapuche. Se trató de un estudio transaccional con una muestra de 569 personas mayores. Se realizó un análisis factorial confirmativo (AFC) para comprobar la estructura bifactorial de la escala; asimismo, se realizó análisis de fiabilidad y validez de la escala. Se confirmó la estructura de dos factores, compuesta por afirmación y exploración de EIEM, igualmente, la existencia de invarianza factorial configural, métrica y escalar. Se decidió eliminar el ítem 4, por lo cual los once ítems agrupados en dos factores mostraron un buen ajuste [(χ 2 (82)=412.25; p<.00); NFI=.92; RFI=.89; IFI=.93; NNFI=.91; CFI=.93; RMSEA=.08 (.07, .09)]. La confiabilidad por Alfa de Cronbach para la escala general fue .89, para exploración fue .72 y para afirmación fue .93. EIEM es un instrumento aceptable, confiable y válido para evaluar la identidad étnica en personas mayores indígenas chilenas.
