Propiedades Psicométricas de una Versión en Español de la Escala Revisada de Homonegatividad Internalizada en Hombres Gais y Mujeres Lesbianas

Resumen

La homonegatividad internalizada implica la internalización del estigma cultural asociado a la homosexualidad y de la devaluación social de cualquier comportamiento que difiere de la norma heterosexual. Este estudio evaluó las propiedades psicométricas de una versión en español de la Escala Revisada de Homonegatividad Internalizada (EHI-R) en hombres gais y mujeres lesbianas (formas paralelas). Utilizando un muestreo no probabilístico, se encuestó a 581 personas que se autoidentificaron como hombres gais o mujeres lesbianas, de entre 18 y 69 años. Los resultados confirman la estructura unidimensional de la escala y los buenos niveles de fiabilidad de ambas versiones (HI-Rgais=.80; HI-Rlesbianas=.83). Asimismo, los resultados indican que la HIR es un constructo que, a nivel métrico, es invariante entre hombres gais y mujeres lesbianas. Este estudio aporta con una medida psicométricamente sólida de homonegatividad internalizada para su uso en poblaciones de habla hispana.
