Abstract

Radiotherapy and concurrent cisplatin are the gold standard treatment for locally advanced cervix cancer since more than two decades. Nevertheless, tumoral disease is heterogeneous, so discriminating individual biologic aggressiveness at initial disease may lead to reduce relapse rate and improve overall survival. 18F-FDG PET/CT allows to precise staging comparing to traditional studies and adapt radiotherapy treatment. To better personalize treatment, radiomics has been used as new prognosis factors. The aim of this study was to investigate the role of SUVmax (maximum standardized uptake value), MTV (metabolic tumor volume) and TLG (total lesion glycolysis) from primary tumor in predicting response to chemoradiotherapy treatment. Secondly, texture analysis was performed, cut-off points to predict survival from every metabolic parameter were calculated and the relationship between quantitative parameters and classical prognostic factors was studied...
