La estructura común del hexámetro dactílico y el trímetro yámbico en la poesía griega arcaica

Resumen

Teniendo en cuenta las bases de la métrica funcional, pongo de relieve que tanto el hexámetro dactílico como el trímetro yámbico, en la poesía griega arcaica, responden a una misma estructura. Son versos recitados de doce componentes en perfecta alternancia: seis componentes monosilábicos (M) y seis componentes potencialmente bisilábicos (D), que presentan marcas de final de verso, así como posiciones de corte (cesuras) y posiciones en las que se evita (puentes), respondiendo a las mismas causas. Cada uno de ellos presenta un solo tipo de ritmo (- ⏑ - ó - ⏑ ⏑ -), que tiene que aparecer por lo menos una vez en cada verso. El tetrámetro trocaico es una ampliación del trímetro yámbico. Estos tres versos acaban necesariamente en un componente potencialmente bisilábico (D), reducido a una sola sílaba larga. Se hace una descripción del dístico elegiaco, mostrando que su primer verso es un hexámetro recitado, mientras que el segundo tiene un primer colo de alternancia perfecta M/D, mientras que el segundo presenta un esquema fijo a base de componentes monosilábicos, al estilo de la poesía lírica: MDMDM / MMMMMMM //. Sirve así de puente entre el verso recitado y el κῶλον lírico.
