Abstract

In the first part of this work we have analyzed the teacher María de Maeztu Whitney using her educational work and her cultural activities to conclude that she was not only an educator. We have studied her life and her historical frame too. María de Maeztu Whitney was born in Vitoria in 1881, but unfortunately many people know nothing about her because for so long, women were silent. Although they became pioneers in her time, just a few inves-tigators are talking about them or their jobs. María de Maeztu was one of the most important women at the beginning of the 20th century in Spain. Fortunately, things are changing thanks to scientific researchers and different projects, as this one, which rakes up this woman. In short, she broke the rules thanks to her advanced family...
