Abstract

In this thesis, entitled The mystical conversion in the Spanish spirituality of the Golden Age, is submitted a proposal for reflection on the field of religion, focused from the particularity of its objective or internal intentionality, that is, from the objective of mystical conversion or desire for union with the divine that characterizes it. For considering it as one of the clearest and more equilibrated manifestations, in terms of their own self-understanding and formulations, it has been decided to undertake the analysis of the said objective through the way in which it is understood and explained by the Spanish spirituality of the Golden Age. Considering thus, in turn, that standing from the top expressions of Spanish mysticism of this period may perhaps help in a privileged way, compared to other approaches, to understand the particularity of that desire or objective, as well as the way in which the religious understands and experiences it...
