Zusammenfassung
This article examines how what could be called the Spanish monarchy’s grand coat of arms was created for its exclusive use in the Italian printing industry. The background is traced in order to enable this to be properly appreciated and the complexities of research into heraldry in such publications from the Habsburg period are addressed by focusing on this particular edition.
