Abstract

This research project entitled “Scientific-humanistic knowledge and culture. Analysis and case study of disciplinary interaction and collaboration models in contemporary artistic creation” studies how the interactions between the two cognitive-cultural processes, art and science, take place. It compares the character of these two areas of knowledge and proposes to generate a hybrid shared space of theoretical-practical thought. Artistic and scientific thinking serves to understand and reflect on on the complexity of reality according to the specific qualities that each of them has. In this thesis possible models of disciplinary interaction are observed and their challenges and integrating frameworks are contemplated. Contemporary creation/research processes in the field of art are analyzed, linked to conceptual proposals typical of the world of science. A comparative study of public-private organizations and institutions that promote interdisciplinary collaborative projects is carried out.
