Abstract

In order to study the evolution of theveterinary profession in the provinceof Badajoz through its protagonists, acomprehensive search was carried outin the specialized bibliography. With thedata collected it has been possible tocomplete the López family genealogy,as well as the professional references ofthis wide family saga. Among the recordsfound, dated between 1800 and 2022,there are 3 albeytars and 15 veterinarians,among which Victoriano López Guerrero,promoter of the Extremadura VeterinaryProfession and first president of theprovince Official College, stands out.
