Abstract
The testimonies of the prisoners themselves are essential for understanding the repression exercised by the Franco dictatorship. Their scarcity corresponds to the secondary role given to women and to a certain social condition of the inmates. We analyze the documentary vestiges that have been preserved and the publications that managed to see the light.
