Resumo

The didactic exploitation of Linguistic Landscape (LL) is one of the increasing trends in the ongoing research on LL, as it has been used as a positive pedagogical tool for teaching foreign languages, like Spanish, as well as (Socio)Linguistics. After a brief literature review, this article explains qualitatively, thoughtfully and in detail the case of a teaching experience carried out with a group of undergraduate students from the US in an immersion program at the Complutense University of Madrid; half of them were Spanish heritage speakers (mostly of Mexican origin), who needed a specific educational approach. The experience consisted of the creation of a speciliazed blog for class which included Linguistic Landscape tasks of finding, photographing and analizing signs in the close LL in the context of an Introduction to Linguistics course. The outcome was highly positive, although some aspects which can be improved were also identified.
