Resumo

Approaches in the study and application of creativity have evolved intensely since the beginning of scientific research in this field, diversifying and moving from initial perspectives focused on the creative individual to others of a more systemic, social or cultural nature. However, the images of creativity usually associated with current visual culture do not correspond to this evolution. On this initial basis, an exploratory study has been carried out on the images most used to address creativity in current visual culture, reviewing them critically from a systemic, social and cultural position, to detect stereotypes and messages that do not help to address and understand creativity from broader, inclusive and extended conceptions, and some of the results are presented and discussed.
