Abstract

The CJEU in the Judgment of 2 March 2023. Case C‐477/21 interprets the meaning of daily rest and weekly rest, understanding that daily rest is in addition to weekly rest. Thus, daily rest must be granted irrespective of the length of the weekly rest established by the applicable national legislation. The concepts of working time and rest time are mutually exclusive.
