E-scraps increase and the extraction of critical metals are growing pollution sources due to technological advances. Recovering metals from e-waste can be a real solution to avoid metal accumulation in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems and give an outlet to the already accumulated garbage by transforming it into a source. Microorganisms are responsible for recycling in almost all ecosystems known on the planet. Microalgae represent 90% of the primary production in aquatic ecosystems.
