Abstract
This paper describes the use of microbial fuel cells, based on theWinogradsky column design, as a didactic resource in the study of energy within the framework of an education for sustainability. The resource is indeed useful to introduce experimental techniques such as voltametry and impedance spectroscopy, ideal for the electrochemical characterization of fuel cells.
