Abstract

The object and essential content of this research is the study of the relationship between the dark personality and the political system, as a relevant and increasingly remarkable fact today in the social sciences. The personality of the members of the political class determines the way of being, acting and its characteristics, and therefore the influence on the political system, there being a clear correlation between both aspects. As is clearly deduced from the title of this thesis, its object and content are intended to be a theoretical-practical investigation on the dark personality and its relationship with the political system, both interdependent aspects. It is an investigation integrated in turn by two clearly differentiated parts: a theoretical part, and a complementary practical part, the result of an investigation. The theoretical part is, on the other hand, an approximation to the subject of study, obviously without claiming to be able to exhaust the subject, since it is still very open and with numerous gaps. The neurosciences are undoubtedly contributing and will contribute to the future new perspectives and variables worthy of consideration and explanatory of a polyhedral phenomenon which is the human personality, and in the context of its dark side. The empirical part contains the results of a survey, with unequal and limited responses, carried out online to the members of the Congress of Deputies during the months of March and June 2019, later analyzed, highlighting the analysis of the responses received. which, although quantitatively insufficient, are qualitatively an approximation to the reality of the group surveyed.
