Resumo

As part of the culture of the material history of the Spanish scientific heritage, collections with three-dimensional wax models cannot be understood solely from their materiality. To propose guidelines and methodologies oriented to the conservation-restoration of these didactic tools made with wax pastes during the 18th and 19th centuries, it is necessary to contextualize them in their historical, sociological, technical, scientific, pedagogical facets.
