Abstract

The fact that the exhibition space can significantly influence the work is something that as art viewers we have known more deeply since museums and galleries were transformed into "white cubes", where the neutrality of their interior design was something that the art institution was proud and artists were expected. With the arrival of large format and immersive installations, the works and the spaces cemented a certain conformity in the conceptualization of the meanings and the signifiers that are generated in the artist's mind when they are devising the work. As this conformism begins to twist in the minds of some artists, space becomes another tool with which to materialize the work and new forms of dialogue with the viewer emerge, which go beyond the "Here and Now", transgressing time and space with which critics, curators and historians catalog the work and its meanings...
