Identidades migradasrepresentaciones sociales, desafíos y resistencias identitarias de las mujeres mexicanas en Madrid

Resumo

Women's migration around the world continues to be a social phenomenon of fundamental relevance. However, feminist studies recognize that there are still important gaps that do not reflect a fair reality with their experiences. The present research aims to analyze the social representations of migrant women's identities, focusing on the social representations model of social psychology with a feminist perspective and a de-colonial critique of knowledge/power, which recognizes race, class and gender as constituent elements of the lived experience.In order to understand the migratory process of Mexican women in Madrid, we use creative and responsible methodologies with feminist epistemologies, such as photo-voice and semi-structured interviews, which show the importance of retaking women's voices as sources of living and dynamic knowledge. Through this, we analyze the visual and oral narratives, of the body, the emotional and the social, as preponderant psychosocial elements in the construction of identity. As results, we can observe how from the migratory experiences, a resistance movement emerges in the face of the vulnerabilities of violence and the current situation of oppression towards women. Therefore, migration is positioned as a form of resistance in itself and of identity transformation.
