El Instituto Oftálmico en la prensa madrileña desde su fundación hasta la Guerra Civil Española

Résumé

The present doctoral dissertation is an analysis of the presence in the Spanish press of the National Ophthalmic Institute since its foundation until the Spanish Civil War. The aim is to highlight the importance and pioneering character of the Institute in the field of Spanish Ophthalmology, as well as to emphasize the vicissitudes that the medicalhealth and social institution went through in its beginnings, as well as in the struggle. We also believe that with this work we contribute to expose the history of an institution as important as relatively unknown outside the ophthalmological field in our country.
