Resumen

This chapter performs a bibliometric analysis about open innovation or the collaboration with external partners and eco-innovation. Using information from Scopus, a study about empirical nature, the distribution by countries, authors and the ranking of journals of articles about these concepts is performed. On the one hand, the study of more than 200 articles about open innovation and collaboration show a lack of panel datasets and network analysis, as well as, the need for greater distribution of data by diverse geographical areas around the world. On the other hand, although open innovation and eco-innovation have attracted increasing attention in recent years, only 57 papers study jointly both concepts according to Scopus database. Thus, future researches could fill this gap analysing empirically how open innovation strategies affect eco-innovation performance as well as performing studies using panel data and carried out in different geographical areas. This effort could get a better understanding of the significance of these phenomena.
