Resumen

The Factorial Structure of verbal Comprehension was studied. The influence of Cognitive (Verbal Fluency and General Intelligence), Orectic (Extraversion-Introversion and Neuroticism-Control) and Socio-Cultural variables upon this structure was also evaluated. Verbal Comprehension and Verbal Fluency were measured with 12 and 3 tests respectively, Personality variables with the Eysenck Personality Inventory and General Intelligence with Bonnardel's BLSIV test. A sample of 242 subjects (109 male and 133 female) was used. The factorial analyses performed show that a main factor explains most of the Verbal Comprehension tests common variance. On the other hand, cognitive, orectic and socio-cultural variables don't seem to play an important role in the factorial structure of Verbal Comprehension.
