Abstract

The aim of this paper is to examine how the typology of the wheel-thrown pottery of two of the main archaeological sites of the Early Iron Age in Southeastern Iberia were built: on one hand, the local site of Peña Negra (Crevillent, Alicante), on the other hand, the Phoenician settlement of La Fonteta (Guardamar del Segura, Alicante). Thus, the methodology used by the several teams which excavated at these sites is compared. To these data, the new types identified in the recent excavations carried out in both of them are also showed: Peña Negra (2014-2019) and La Fonteta (2018-2019).
