Abstract

Scientific advances in climate and bioclimatic prediction mechanisms, their importance for generating sustainable development models, and for mitigating climate change is reason enough to incorporate these contents into the Natural Sciences programs of Secondary and Baccalaureate Education. Bioclimatology is a discipline that has been developed in the last thirty years, a discipline in which the climate and the botanical species that live in a certain climate are connected, with temperature and precipitation being the two most important parameters of the climate, and taking into consideration plant species, thermocline and ombroclimate bioclimatic indices have been generated.
