Abstract

Workplace accidents have been a structural feature of the Spanish labor market, a source of abundant bibliography, especially after the ratification of the Labor Risks Prevention Law in 1995. However, research papers that have treated this issue as a subject of public discussion have been scarce and they have only analyzed this problem from a regional scope. This article examines this subject between 1999 and 2007 in Madrid, during the municipalities and State election periods.
