Resumen
In Spain, Radio has been an essential media for the dissemination of music since the establishment of the first radio stations in 1924. The practice of broadcasting and the development of the recording systems and sound preservation, determined theconfiguration of radio sound archives, which has been subjected to different criteria. These paper focuses both on the creation of the radio sound archives and his subsequent development, and also in the analyses of the industrial, technological and sociocultural elements that determined, in Spain, the policies for the sound preservation in the radio’scontext.
