Abstract

University education for economists is provided in the Faculties of Economics and Business Administration and in private universities. The specific studies of management are framed in the Business Schools. Today, there are signs of a change in value and paradigms in companies, and new horizons are opening up for economists. Specifically, to the traditional functions of these professionals at the business management level, new profiles are being added in emerging areas of knowledge (sustainability, digitalisation and entrepreneurship). However, professionals must be provided with the necessary training and skills to meet the demands of the labour market, with a commitment to the professionalisation to tomorrow’s economists.
