Abstract

With the launch of the EU Global Strategy in 2016, the door is opened to the expansion of a defense industrial policy that was until then in an embryonic state. The policy developments and instruments linked to them are geared towards obtaining the EU’s strategic autonomy and creating a Single Defense Market. There are numerous questions and obstacles, but this article presents some scenarios that can guide the situation of the European defense industry in the coming years.
