Resumen

Los guardias de seguridad privada en México perciben elevados niveles de estrés. Sin embargo, el uso de instrumentos validados para evaluar estrés laboral en este colectivo es escaso. Se analizaron las propiedades psicométricas del cuestionario DECORE en una muestra de guardias de seguridad mexicanos y su nivel de estrés. Se llevó a cabo un estudio transversal con muestreo no probabilístico por cuotas en el que participaron 933 trabajadores, 596 hombres (63.87%) y 337 mujeres (36.13%), con media de edad de 35 años (DE=11.25). Los resultados mostraron un ajuste adecuado utilizando un modelo con 22 ítems, no así en el modelo de 44 ítems. Para comprobar la validez convergente del DECORE se aplicaron otros cuestionarios (ERIQ, MBI y GHQ). En cuanto al nivel de estrés de los trabajadores evaluados, estos perciben un nivel de moderado a medio-alto. Se recomienda aplicar el cuestionario DECORE en su versión de 22 ítems.
