Résumé

Menéndez Pidal’s Foundation holds the biggest collection of pan-hispanic ballads or romances in the world. This institution aims to preserve and make public the cultural heritageof the romancero, including the whole corpus of their traditional versions. As a result, someprojects are being developed in order to emphasize the wealth and importance of the sefiles. One of them is the Romancero Digital Archive, which is a website created to gatherthe metadata and the digital copies of the versions of hispanic ballads held in MenéndezPidal/Goyri’s Romancero Archive. At the present time, more than 12.000 files have beenuploaded to the Digital Archive and they will be opened to the public soon. This paper explains how to use the Digital Archive and the advantages that can be taken by scholars allover the world.
