Abstract

Causes of Satisfaction and Insatisfaction expressed by 414 students Psychology are analyzed, following the guideline of HERZBERG's Theory in the field of Work Psychology. The studied sample was composed by 414 male and female students from Complutense University of Madrid from the first to the fifth course of Psychology. The results permit to extend the application field of HERZBERG's Theory to the world of the students doing Psychology at University, because 10 of the 20 factors analyzed happened to be Satisfactors, and correspond to the Intrinsic aspects of the University work; 9 of the 20 factors analysed happened to be unsatisfactors, corresponding to the Extrinsic aspects of the university work; and only one of the 20 factors analysed happened to be Ambivalent. The implications of these results are discussed.
