Zusammenfassung
The European Union is deeply affected by the conflict triggered by Russia's invasion of Ukraine, which not only threatens its security but also challenges its model. In this paper, we analyse the innovative elements of the EU's political response. First, we examine the institutional aspects of EU policy, where a relevant CFSP development can be assessed. Second, we look at the policies adopted to influence the war, both political measures against Russia and support measures for Ukraine. We conclude that there are many innovative elements and decisions that show great ambition, commitment and determination on the part of member states who are aware that their future is at stake in Ukraine.
