Abstract

Los instrumentos de medida para evaluar la magnitud y tendencia de los problemas de salud mental en la población son diversos. La definición operacional de los problemas de salud mental difiere de unos instrumentos a otros, por lo que su cuantificación varía en función del instrumento empleado. En este trabajo se han utilizado los datos proporcionados por las encuestas de salud por entrevista de ámbito nacional, con el objetivo de estimar la evolución de la salud mental en la población española según diversas características sociodemográficas. En el caso del suicidio, se ha utilizado la información proporcionada por la estadística de defunciones según la causa de la muerte.
