Zusammenfassung
This article analyzes the role that stewardship codes play, or can play, in the voting decision of institutional investors on the general meetings of the companies in which they have invested. Their effectiveness is valued as a mechanism to control the behavior of directors and as enhancers of long-term value creation and as drivers of sustainability policies, especially in countries like Spain where there is concentrated ownership with controlling shareholders.
