Resumen

A technique for generating a high-quality intensity distribution using dif fractive optical elements implemented in a Spatial Light Modulator (SLM) is proposed. Instead of using an independent modulation of the amplitude or the phase, we propose a distance-based iterative Fourier transform algorithm to generate complex modulation. Particle Swarm Optimization is used to determine the optimal angles of the polarizing elements so that the states generated by the SLM cover the amplitude-phasespace. Numerical simulations, based on real SLMs are performed, showing the advantages of the technique.
