Resumo

Non-emancipated children are under the power of the parents, which will always be exercised for the benefit of the children, in accordance with their personality, and with respect for their physical and psychological integrity. One of the issues that cause disagreements between parents focuses on the administration of vaccinations to minor children. Although there has also been the case of refusal to vaccinate children whose parents are in a nursing home to receive the vaccine. After examining the need for informed consent prior to vaccination where the composition, risks and consequences are described, parents can provide consent on behalf of their minor children, and the children in the event that their parents need their support. In the event of a discrepancy between parents, as long as the minors do not have problems that contraindicate or specifically advise vaccination and there are forensic reports thatsupport the vaccine decision, the jurisprudential line adopted is unanimous and in favor of it. The same thing happens when they are people who need support to make a decisión.
