Abstract

The health crisis caused by COVID-19, which began in 2020, led to the disruption of the global economy, even causing the disappearance of hundreds of thousands of businesses. In fact, the economic effects of this disruption still persist. Thanks to the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) by public organizations and companies, economic activity could be resumed more swiftly. It is essential for any company to have a Business Continuity Management System in place to address future events. This document analyzes the Business Continuity Plan of the company LEASEPLAN Spain, which allowed the organization to effectively face the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. Applying a case study methodology, this document analyses the company's Business Continuity Plan and its test plan, as well as assessing the impact of operational and financial risk.
