Resum

This article analyses the socioemotional well-being of older people in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, investigating their mental health and psychosocial well-being. The results show that older people are one of the main groups at risk of infection in the health emergency context, with their mental health and psychosocial well-being being affected by changes in lifestyles and social restriction measures, significantly impacting their life satisfaction. This highlights the need for new intersectoral public policies for the intervention of SARS-CoV-2 and other possible social and health emergencies in old age.
